Participation & Exchange Guidelines

SwapArt is a curated, in-person experience designed to facilitate meaningful exchanges between participants within the art, design and collectibles space.

By attending a SwapArt event, you agree to the following:

Participation
Participants may bring a limited number of pre-approved objects. All items are reviewed in advance and presented within a curated setting.

Valuation
Each object is assigned an indicative value range to support a shared reference point during the event. This is provided as guidance and does not constitute a formal valuation. Where relevant, indicative ranges may consider factors such as condition, provenance, artist/designer recognition, comparable works and secondary market context.

Exchange format

Exchanges may take place as direct swaps, swaps with a price difference, or full purchases. Participants are free to engage, negotiate or decline at their own discretion.

Role of SwapArt
SwapArt facilitates introductions, supports matching and enables exchanges between participants. While SwapArt may receive a commission on completed exchanges or purchases, it does not act as a buyer, seller, or contracting party in any transaction.

Agreements
All exchanges and agreements are made directly between participants. SwapArt is not a party to any agreement.

Condition of items

Participants are responsible for the authenticity, condition, provenance and description of the objects they present.
Objects should be presented in good, acceptable and swappable condition. SwapArt reserves the right to decline items that are significantly damaged, incomplete or unsuitable for the event format.
SwapArt may offer preliminary guidance or review where relevant, but does not provide formal authentication or guarantees.

Liability
SwapArt is not responsible for any disputes, misrepresentations or disagreements arising between participants. All exchanges are voluntary and made at the participants’ own discretion and risk.

Fees

A participation fee (ticket) applies to attend the event.
A commission may be applied to completed exchanges or purchases.
